Died on the 9th inst., after a very painful and protracted illness, Mrs. Nelly Wife of Rev. J.H. West, in the 57 year of her age. She was a constant member of the Baptist Church, and was ever ready to smooth the pillow of suffering.
Owing to the constant attention paid his wife, Mr. West's farming operations got behind. Yesterday the neighbors gathered in to the number of thirty or more, and worked out the most of his bottom corn. This shows the right spirit.
