OCR text: John Kraft Dies at 57 HAMILTON John Merrit Kraft, 57, a son of Mrs. Cora Kraft, Hamilton, died at a Pasco, Wash. hospital Saturday morning after a two months illness. The body will be returned here late this week for funeral services by the Rev.
James D. Knicely in Dowling Chapel. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery near the grave of his father, Frank, who died in 1911 in Hamilton. Mr. Kraft was born at Riverside, Dec. 3, 1903. He came as a child to Klatskanie, with his parents, and in 1910 they came to the Bitter Root Valley. The family home was at Alta, where Mrs. Kraft was postmaster, until her husband's death. Since that time the Kraft home has been in Hamilton. Mr. Kraft was a heavy equipment operator in construction work in Oregon and Washington for several years. Besides his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Colleen, who made her home with him at Burbank, and who will accompany the father's casket here for the last rites; three sons, Roy, California; Frank and Ronald, Spokane: two sisters, Mrs. StanJey Greenup and Mrs. Marjorie Briody, and three brothers, Gene, Loran and Charles, all of Hamilton.
