September 22, 1969 Mrs. Mary West Dies, Services Set for Tuesday
Mrs. Marry Della West, 83, died today at 8 a.m. in the Vickburg Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Dover, Ark., but had lived in Vicksburg since 1927.
She was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Reed Tucker and the widow of the late Dave West. She was a member of Gibson Memorial Methodist Church.
Mrs. West is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Harris, Vicksburg, and Mrs. Irene Perry, San Francisco, Calif; four sons, Fay H. West, Washington, D. C., David P. West, Memphis, Tenn.; Harold T. West, San Francisco, Calif.; Charles D. West, Washington, D. C.; one brother, D. R. Tucker, Longview, Tex.; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. E. D. Hightower, pastor of the Gibson Memorial Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J. M. Lawrence, Walter B. Hallberg, Raymond Dunning, Udelle Jones, Raymond Callen, K. O. Anderson and Harry Scot.
