She is survived by her husband Howard Phillips of the home, two daughters Ava Serrano of Winterset, Iowa, Reba Rashidinejad of Belleville, Michigan, five sons Sam West of Norman, Oklahoma, Jerry West of Van Buren, Carl Dow of Poteau, Oklahoma, Louis Dow of Ft. Smith and Timothy Dow of Canton, Michigan, two sisters Mabel Warnock of Arkoma, Oklahoma, and Virginia Pipkin of Pocola, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren and 21 great grand children

Jerry David West 60 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a real estate broker and co-owner of Medlock & West Realty; he was a retired fireman of the City of Fort Smith after 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Gideon & a member Vista Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas West & Patricia (Weaver) Dow; one sister, Ross Ann West.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the home, one daughter, Tracy Cohen of Spotsylvania, VA; two sons, Allen West of Van Buren, Carl West of Springdale; four sisters, Ava Seranno of Winterset, IA, Reba Rashidinejad of Belleville, MI, Rebekah West of Colgate, OK, Marilyn Pratt of Purcell, OK; six brothers, Sam West of Norman, OK, Tommy West of Atoka, OK, Danny West of Lehigh, OK, Louis Dow of Arkoma, OK, Carl Dow of Poteau, OK, Tim Dow of Kentwood, MI,; twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 14th 2012 10:30am at Vista Freewill Baptist Church, Van Buren, AR. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his fellow Fort Smith Fireman. Honorary pallbearer will be his grandsons
