PANHANDLE - James E. "Jim" West, 66, died Friday, March 31, 2006, in Carson County.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Mr. West married Jackie Cosper on June 11, 1966, in Childress. He served in the 472nd Military Police at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked as a planner at Pantex and retired in 1997. He moved to Panhandle from Clarksville in 1979. He loved antique cars and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Janie West; and a sister, Janet Schiners.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie, of Panhandle; a son, Kelly Arrington of Fort Worth; two daughters, Celeste Bichsel and husband Shane of Panhandle and Candice Teichelman and husband Ryan of Amarillo; a brother, Robert West; a sister, Mary Clark and husband Jerry of Amarillo; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Panhandle Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 907, Panhandle, TX 79068 or Panhandle Lions Club Scouting Program, P.O. Box 1042, Panhandle, TX 79068.

CHILDRESS, Nov. 16 (Spl). - Funeral services will be held Monday at First Christian Church in Fowler, Colo., for Otto Clay West, 56, who died in a Rocky Ford, Colo., hospital Friday. Additional services will be conducted Tuesday at Kirkland Baptist Church. Burial will be at Kirkland. West was a former Kirkland farmer. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jaunita West, and three stepdaughters, Linda, Jeanne and Patty Moore, all of Fowler.
