Golda Hazel West, age 80, of Knoxville, and formerly of Scott County, Tenn., died October 25, 1995, at the home of her nephew in Crossville, Tenn., following a brief illness. She was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church of Knoxville. She is survived by sister-in-law, Agnes West of Oneida; nieces and nephews: Beverly and Jack Chitwood of Villa Hills, Ky.; Joyce and Roy Sweeney of Louisville, Tenn.; Robert and Nola Lay of Crossville; Allyn and Cynthia Lay of Columbia, Tenn.; Jack and Sue Lay, and John Charles and Linda Lay, all of Oneida, Tenn., and Gene West of Jacksonville, Fla.; several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted October 26, 1995, at the Stevens Chapel in Knoxville with Dr. Carl Simmons officiating. Graveside services and Interment were conducted October 27, 1995, at Carson Memorial Park. The nephews served as pallbearers.
