Services for Opal West Hicks will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Homes chapel with the Rev. Wallace Lucky officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery. Mrs. Hicks, 81, of Meridian, died Monday Feb. 16, 1998, in her home. She was a homemaker and member of Center Hill Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Noretta and Cecil Stark of Meridian; a brother, Junior West of Delaware, Okla.; two sisters, Arzella Hendricks and Juanita Gillman, both of Lenapah, Okla.; three grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert J. Hicks.

Earl West, 62, of 411 North Sixth, Kansas City, Kansas, died yesterday at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he had been a patient two weeks. Mr. West was born in Buffalo, MO and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas, 33 years. He was a body repairman for the Bryson Motor company. Surviving are two brothers. Arlie West, Ventura Calif., and Burley West, Rio Dell, Calif., and a sister. Mrs. Love Vinyard, Santa Anna. Calif.
