KERNERSVILLE - Beulah Parrish West, 96, of Linville Road died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Oct. 17, 1908, in Johnston County, a daughter of Mack Ruffin and Rossie Stephenson Parrish. Mrs. West was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. She was a member of Glenn View Baptist Church Best Years Club, a member of the Loyal Wesley Class and Senior Adult Fellowship at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, and a former member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church Senior Citizens Group. She was a retiree of Hanes Hosiery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade M. West; a daughter, Peggy W. Whitley; a brother, Worth F. Parrish; and two sisters, Velma Fulp and Lether Smith. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Tuttle and husband Bill of Kernersville; two grandsons, Lee A. Tuttle Sr. and Craig S. Tuttle and wife Sarah, all of Winston-Salem; six great-grandchildren, Crystal Finney and husband Rodney of Pinnacle, Kymberly Tuttle of Wentworth and Amanda, Alan, Heather and Chris Tuttle, all of Winston-Salem; a great-great-grandchild, Brandon Finney of Pinnacle; two sisters, Alene Flynn and Juanita Gilchrist and husband Al, all of Winston-Salem; and a brother, Marvin T. Parrish and wife Elizabeth Ann of Hope Mills. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ellis Rouse, the Rev. Jim Faggart and the Rev. Phil Bauguess. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.
