Next we have to consider daughter’s linked as Emaline, Emaline Nancy and Sarah Emaline. The name Emaline shows up on the 1850 census, while Sarah E. shows up on the 1860 census. So where is Nancy? There is a Nancy E. Cummins that shows up on an 1870 census for Lost Creek, Newton, Missouri, that is married to a Jesse, that both records reference. But how do we know that Nancy E. or Emaline Nancy is our Emaline? Where’s the proof that Nancy E. had the maiden name of West and that her father was our William West? Based on the fact that on the 1850 census her name is Emaline and on the 1860 we have Sarah E. at the same age and we have no reference to a Nancy anywhere before 1870, I have deleted the record for Emaline Nancy West. Based on this data I have not accepted that our Emaline married a Jesse Cummins as well.

Our first record of Susan West is recorded in the 1850 Census showing her father was William West and her mother is not listed. Her mother, Veinna Garland, died by 1850. The next record of Susan is in the Miller county marriage record book(A) with the marriage of Frances Marion Brazier to Susan West, July 12,1855. After Francis death Susan married Robert S. Martin in about 1870 in Miller Co.,Mo. After Robert's death Susan married John Peter Falter, Sept. 5, 1885. I was told that after John's death she married a Dr. Barnett and I have not found any record of her death and where she is buried. Dr. Barnett was buried in Oklahoma and Susan is not in the same graveyard.
Francis and Susan were the parents of four children Abraham born 1857, William born 1860, Martha born 1862, and Nancy born 1863. Susan and Robert Martin had one daughter, Dulcina born 1871. Lawrence Melvin Brazier was Susan's grandson, the son of William and Eliza Belle Brazier.
