Born 2nd of four sisters to Ozro Lamar Millett and Inez Adams. She was born of a Mormon Pioneer Heritage. Her mother died when she was just 15 years old so Ida and her sisters went to live with her Grandma Adams.
She married Charles E. West and was blessed with one daughter, Connie. They later divorced. She then married Raymond White and they were blessed with a son Lonny and another daughter Jamie. The family was all later sealed in the St. George Temple.

Growing up she loved watching the movie stars when they came to Kanab. She moved to Salt Lake and worked at Ogden Arsenal and Walker Bank. She then moved to Albuquerque New Mexico where she was a secretary at Sandia Air Force Base where she actually saw the atomic bombs used in WWII.

A faithful member of the LDS Church she served in many callings including Relief Society, Young Womens, road show pageant writer, and homaking where she made crafts for many years. She was a loving and compassionate Relief Society President.

She was also very involved in civic activities serving in the Literary League, a member of the DUP, she wrote poems and some were accepted by the LDS Church. An artist and kept a beautiful home and yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ozro & Inez Millett, husband Raymond White, grandson Matthew Mackelprang, brothers in law Reese, Stanley, Marian, LeRoy, Bobby, and Jon White and Norman Boardman. Survivors include children Connie (Howard)Dalton, Lonny white and Jamie (Van) Mackelprang, sisters: Loise White, Glennis Boardman, Norda Lewis, sisters in law: Anntonette(Don) Mackelprang, Lucy Judd, Carol (Keith)Judd, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab Utah.
